Style and design notes for the TrueFriend Productions web site.

The site is ever-evolving.  Here are a few notes and style reminders that have emerged from the process.

PUNCTUATION

How to punctuate titles, which are used extensively on the site, can be hard to remember, probably because they are so often written incorrectly on the web.

The Chicago Manual of Style says
When referenced in text or listed in a bibliography:

Titles of books, journals, plays, and other freestanding works are italicized.

Titles of articles, chapters, and other shorter works are set in roman and enclosed in "quotation marks."

Periods and commas are enclosed inside "quotation marks."

Exclamation marks and question marks are placed outside of quotation marks unless they are part of the quote.
